• The coming few years will face big changes in the air transport industry, as the experts predict that the industry's economic performance will improve through steady increase in the volume of passengers and cargo traffic, also they predict that the protective markets and monopolies will disappear.

• In this new environment the tough competition on price will increase, and all the air carriers have to face up to the breaking down barriers and competing in a global market , as it will be a matter of riding the wave or being swapped by it .

• AMC realized these facts very early as we are currently going through a strategic development plan for company, which will allow us to face the challenges of the future through a comprehensive plan that will focus on the following objectives;

• Offering high quality services which will satisfy our client's requirements and expectations, in order to insure a suitable segment in the air transport market.
• Reduce the operating costs to the lowest level to be in a good competitive situation which enables us to face the large competition in the market.
• To achieve the main targets, our plan will concentrate on executing the following important projects :
1. Replacing the current fleet with a new generation aircraft, to reach a status of a single fleet type which will lead to a significant reduction in the operating cost.

On this way AMC has started a plan for acquiring 7 new B. 737-800, the first two of them has been delivered in Mar & Aug. 2006 on long term dry lease basis. The other five aircraft will join the service as follows: -

·        Two aircraft on finance purchase basis will be delivered in Jun & Oct. 2007

·        Two aircraft on lease purchase basis will be delivered in Jun & Oct. 2008

·        One aircraft on lease purchase basis will be delivered in Feb. 2009

According to the market demand the aircraft numbers may be increased.

2. Raising the maintenance level to reach C4 and C8 checks as AMC is on its way to get a piece of land in Cairo international airport to build a new big hanger and workshop for this purpose instead of the small existing one.
3. Developing and increasing existing work shops and providing it with special tools and equipments to repair and overhaul the unit and the equipment.
4. building new stores for the spare parts of the new aircraft
5. increase the capability towards more reduction of operating cost by Deepings the in home self services in the following activities:

·        Self ground services as AMC has the capability of performing all ground services by its own ground equipment at all Egyptian airports.

·        Catering services as AMC has recently established catering complex at a very high hygienic standards and highly equipped enough to produce up to 5000 meals a day. Which enable AMC to provide its flights and any other carrier with high stander catering services

·        Training services as AMC has established an approved training classrooms, which are very well furnished and equipped, besides many approved instructors for all training programs that cover initial and recurrent training for pilots, flight attendants and engineers covering all types of aircraft operating by AMC

6. on Jun 2006 AMC Airlines has signed a joint venture agreement with future international airways which have a great experience in operating Boeing 737-800, this agreement will allow the parties to collaborate in many areas of activity as follows:

·        Technical training

·        Maintenance facilities, to increase, in house repair maintenance and overhauls.

·        Supplying spare parts to cover the requirements of B737-800 safe operation

·        Ground handling and catering.

            There is no doubt that this co-operation will help so far in lowering the operating cost for both parties

7. AMC airlines on its way to get IOSA certificate as the pre auditing has been done on 4^th Sep. 2006 without any significant finding and the final auditing will take place on 4^th Nov.2006 after that we are preparing our selves to get EASA. For line & routine maintenance including workshop facilities.
